Stony Plain Kinsmen Rodeo The Stony Plain Kinsmen have been holding an annual rodeo since 1996 as one of the primary functions to raise funds to “Support the Communities Greatest Needs”. It is organized and staffed almost entirely by volunteers. All proceeds are funneled back into the community through donations to the local sports and community clubs as well as other organizations such as D.A.R.E., Bosco Homes, Camp He Ho Ha, Forest Green Play ground Fund, others and the Kinsmen Christmas Hamper program, which provided food and gifts to over 1,000 people / families in 2011. It started as a simple amateur rodeo event with a beer garden. We are pleased to be partnered with the Wild Rose Rodeo Association and thank them for the great job they have done for us over the years. In 2001, we partnered with the Town’s Farmer’s Days to create a more complete event for the whole family. |
